Breath taking Gallery exhibition prints from a master photographer and print maker.
These exquisite 11x14 and 16x20 prints are a sample of
Johns 35 years of photography and print making. The selections within are from six
of Johns exhibitions, representing photographs from all over the United States.

Each print represented here is an original print made by John in his darkroom. All prints are printed on the absolute best of photographic materials available. All prints are printed on fiber base paper and selenium toned. They are mounted on archival boards.
" I always print each picture the best my ability allows, unless it is as good as I can make it, its a reject". (John D)
"John has a proclivity for always being at the right place at the right time for his scenes. Its like nothing I have seen before. When he sets up his tripod an atmospheric transformation takes place that produces conditions you never see except in his photographs. I know, Ive been there and watched".
(Harvey Friedman 1984)
"John shoots from pre dawn to the time everyone else begins shooting. Once he told me about his trip to Yosemite Valley at 5:00 AM in Oct. He said he shot there alone for three hours, 50 sheets of 4x5 film. He had fog, and sunrise and big bellowing clouds. At 8:00 AM when John was packing up his gear to leave because the sky had cleared and was boring, a van load of photographers arrived and as they were getting out of the van one person stated they were here on the perfect day. John just laughed to himself because the right time was over, and only his prints show the difference now". (Steve Jackson)
Each of Johns prints represented here were
shot on film ranging from 11x14, 8x10, 5x7 and 4x5 sheet film to 120 and 35mm roll film. A
majority of the work within is from 4x5 and 8x10.
"Destined to become classics, the images of John Dersham both delight and challenge. They delight in the nuances of light and shadow that play across his landscapes, and they challenge by making we lesser practitioners aspire to his level of technical mastery and artistic interpretation. I once told John that I had never seen a bad image in his enormous portfolio. You can now appreciate a small sampling (the best of the best) on his web site." (David T. Elder)
The beauty of these prints is hard to convey on your computer monitor. Their rich detail and fabulous scale of tone can only be invisioned from Internet viewing. Owning a John Dersham original however tells the whole story. Once these fabulous prints are viewed in your home, office or gallery there will be no further need for explanation.
